General
Are Naked Sundays products compliant?
Yes. All Naked Sundays products are rigorously tested and meet all current Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) and FDA (USA) regulations.
When inconsistencies in Australian SPF testing came to light, Naked Sundays immediately commissioned additional extra independent testing on all our products. These tests reaffirmed their compliance with all current regulatory requirements.
The current review into SPF testing relates to how SPF is measured. We strongly support this review and believe clearer, standardised testing will benefit the entire industry and improve consumer confidence.
Why is Collagen Glow not available in Australia?
Out of an abundance of caution, we proactively paused sales of one Australian-made variant of Collagen Glow sold in Australia while the TGA reviews SPF testing standards, particularly around inconsistencies in testing for high zinc mineral sunscreens.
The pause only relates only to a single variant sold and made in Australia by one manufacturer, and does not impact any of our other Australian or global products. A new, updated version of Collagen Glow will be available soon.
Where does Naked Sundays Manufacture Your Products?
Naked Sundays partners with multiple TGA and FDA accredited manufacturing partners in both Australia and the United States.
- Our Australian-made products are listed on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG) and comply with all TGA regulations. In Australia, tinted sunscreens, lip products & moisturisers with SPF are exempt from being listed on the ARTG but are still mandated to be manufactured and tested to the same TGA standards. .
- Our US-made products comply with FDA sunscreen standards and global regulatory requirements.
Every formula is developed and tested to deliver safe, high-performance sun protection according to labelling regulations, regardless of where it is made.
Are your products UVA+UVB broad spectrum protection?
Yes. Every Naked Sundays product currently available is compliant with all TGA & FDA requirements which includes being UVA & UVB broad spectrum protection.
Current Australian industry-wide testing issues
What is Naked Sundays doing about industry-wide testing inconsistencies
Our mission has always been to deliver the safest, highest-performing sun protection possible.
When industry-wide testing inconsistencies were identified, we acted immediately: commissioning independent testing and proactively pausing one product while awaiting updated guidelines, all to prioritise your safety and confidence.
We know the TGA are working tirelessly to put in place new testing standards and we look forward to adopting them as soon as available.
Has Naked Sundays recalled any products?
No. Naked Sundays has not recalled any products. Out of an abundance of caution, we proactively paused sales of one Australian-made variant of Collagen Glow sold in Australia while awaiting updated SPF testing guidelines. This is not a recall. All other Naked Sundays products remain available online and in stores.
What happens next with the TGA testing review?
We are continuing to work closely with the TGA and Standards Australia as they review and update SPF testing protocols. Once new standards are finalised, we will implement them immediately. Our focus remains the same: delivering safe, effective, and compliant sun protection for our community. We will keep you updated as the review progresses and new information becomes available.
